'70 521 L16
So my computers effed for the time being and iphoneified ratsun doesn't support pics... Someone help me out... http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/alliwanadoislive/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_9613.jpg We need a few things... http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/alliwanadoislive/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0746.jpg Anyone remember this? A nice big hole in the front cover? Well I don't need the front cover, I've go that all patched up and replaced and whatnot. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/alliwanadoislive/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2360.jpg Timings good and everything( thanks ratsun, hainz). Anyways, i thought it was just a loose chain that tore the tensioner up and poked the hole. Well as it turns out... http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/alliwanadoislive/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_4959.jpg It ticks like a watch. This is the inside of the right side of the valve cover. I suppose a loose chain over a long time of running could do this but it's definitely still rubbing. I don't really get it though, the chain is way tight. I do know I need a new valve cover. Any ideas why this is going on though? Looks to be about 4 1/2" on the short side and 5 1/2" on the tall side. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/alliwanadoislive/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3222.jpg Is this one of the ridged ones I hear are pretty rare? It's pretty beaten up on the inside but I have no problem trading or selling as I won't be starting the poor thing until I have another one. Link to comment

'70 521 L16
Yeh. iPhone pictures aren't all that great. How would I go about fixing it? Link to comment
'70 521 L16
Turns out all it needed was a valve job to stop the ticking. :-x sounds pretty good now so no new valve cover is needed. I'm thinking more and more though, that in going to need a new wiring harness... Surprise surprise. On to the head gasket repair! Hey thanks btw izzo! Link to comment
