Fitz Posted January 9, 2011 Report Share Posted January 9, 2011 Okay, this is my first post about my own ride, and on a subject that I've been trying to wrap my head around for some time. Why did the previous owner do it? How do I fix it? Are there alternatives to it? Here's the issue: The seats were loose, so I took them out after removing the carpeting (it was shit...). I found that the seats were bolted directly to the baseboards, and the rear mounts were raised off of the floor by a stack of nuts (4 of them) on the bolt. On the floor was a line of jagged metal that looked like it was once a ridge, that had been cut in half and folded onto itself. This is the ridge that's missing: (Oic stolen from JasonGW, edited by me) The arrows point to the mounts that have been cut out, or do not exist anymore. Any idea how to fix this? I'd really want to be able to drive safely in my ride..... Quote Link to comment
