nismo dr
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system. 2. On models with A/C, disconnect heater hose from engine. 3. On models less A/C, remove heater duct and disconnect heater hoses from heater unit. 4. Remove console box mounting screws, then the console box. 5. Remove steering column shell cover. 6. Remove package tray, if equipped. 7. Disconnect speedometer cable behind speedometer. 8. Disconnect all electrical connectors at instrument panel. 9. Remove 3 instrument panel upper side mounting bolts. 10. Remove instrument panel lower side mounting bolt. 11. Remove instrument panel center mounting bolt located in glove compartment. 12. Remove 2 side mounting bolts at each end of instrument panel, then pull instrument panel rearward. 13. Disconnect air intake control cable at blower unit. 14. On models with A/C, remove blower unit, then the cooling unit mounting nuts and bolts. 15. Remove heater unit, then the control assembly from the heater unit. 16. Loosen clips and separate case halves, then remove heater core. 17. Reverse procedure to install. Quote Link to comment

It is attached behind and uptop somewhere and I can't see where!! Do you have or know where I can see a schematic showing all the connection points?? It seem like the ductwork is holding it, but I can't get the ductwork out!! Quote Link to comment

I need to have it driveable for work Monday. The core has been bypassed for a while now, so I don't have to put too much back together to drive it. But it would sure be nice to get the old one out tomorrow... Gonna keep searchin too. THX Quote Link to comment
Sealik
I believe there is a 10-12 mill bolt behind the glove box that is holding some of the duct. Other than pulling the dash.... On the 85....I just drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the backside of the glove box to access, there might be an indentation in the back of your box 'showing' locale. Not sure if the 87 is the same as the 85....? Quote Link to comment
Archie
Good Morning guys, I found what I needed!! I did a search on "dashboard removal" and whaalla, there was a pictorial with step by step instructions.... There are 3 or 4 bolts at the top of the dash that I access by removing the 3 defrost vent covers and it should come right out. I will try and copy a link to here for everyone...Not sure how to do that so I might be asking help on that too  THX GUYS :) Quote Link to comment
