mr68gts Posted October 16, 2010 Report Share Posted October 16, 2010 Since my 620 has been converted to a solid axle 4x4 I have plenty of room to install a VG30DE. Question I have is I would like to use the Pathfinder transfer case/transmission to get rid of the cj5 transfer case. Is the bell pattern the same from std vg to vgde? I am also wondering if the motor mounts are the same. I don't have the engine yet but I do have a fully machined vg30e block out of a Maxima that I was considering using for mock up perposes. yello620 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Share Posted October 16, 2010 That DE motor is going to be a crazy tight fit in there. I have a E motor installed in a 620 and it is a tight fit to the power booster and steering column. The DE heads are a bit bigger, i think that you will run into bigger problems with them.
