ADrummond
I have a set - and they're not bad, but they don't compare to the originals. The corners are sharp, and they weren't polished as well prior to plating (not that the originals are anything to write home about in that respect). They don't come with brackets, either. I have a set of the originals too, and I think I'm gonna straighten and plate them rather than use the reproductions, once I can afford it. The guy I bought my core support from works in a high-end street rod shop, and suggested having them stripped, getting some extra-thick copper plating put on, and blocking them out just like you would a body panel. Once they're straight, chrome them. If there's significant pitting from rust, fill it with lead before the copper. Easy for him to say, he's a lead guy! Andrew Quote Link to comment
