DFrench
I may be a newbie to this site, with a reputation of -1 (no mercy), but I am proud to tell you that I was driving my 1971 510 in rallies in Suffolk, Virginia in the late 70's with groups of naval engineers and guys from NASA Langley. I worked with the wife of one of the navy guys, and when she saw my 510 she invited me to be her driver and take on her husband and his friend. There must have been 50 cars there that day, mostly BMWs, but the Datsuns always won. These guys tore the back seats out of their 510s and put early versions of a PC back there to help them navigate most accurately. Reading aluminum pie plates nailed to trees near the Dismal Swamp going 60 was crazy fun. Three children later, I sold my 510 to a rally-loving engineer. Now I'm just trying to help my dear ole Dad sell his '76 710. Can't somebody retract my -1 reputation? 1 Quote Link to comment
