laotsu
so I pulled my old dizzy and wanna put in my new matchbox. to my horror the old dizzy uses a slotted end instead of a geared end like the one on the matchbox. can I switch rotor shafts? or do I have to find a new dizzy? OK I ama an asshole its an A series matchbox so I gotta change the drive tang and gear end Quote Link to comment

I hope to do a write up on it as soon as Fuckin Nas gets me the pics <_< Gotta line it up righ and grind a slot in the shaft. And flip over the mounting plate to keep the vacume advance out of the fan ;) Watching this thread so ifn ya got questions, ask em up! Quote Link to comment

Pumpkn210
Ratfucked is my specialty ;) Remember to line everything up 2-5 times and really look it over before you grind the slot! Also the slot is off center... Quote Link to comment
laotsu
how would I go about switching shafts? Quote Link to comment
Pumpkn210
how would I go about switching shafts? You dont! You have to grind a slot into the A-series Dizzy and swap the gear rotor/sleve. Quote Link to comment
laotsu
klotz said it was possible in your build thread... Quote Link to comment
