DanielC
I am sorry, I do not live near you. Anything can be fixed, given enough time and money. That is the good news. The bad news, a 521 hood is one of the most difficult pieces of metal to fix on any car or truck ever made, because it is a very flat thin piece of metal. Save you hood, you might need some pieces of it. I have taken completely rusted hood catches, and by using electrolysis, saved them and made them usable again. I have taken a spot weld saw, and removed inner braces, and panels to be used on other better hood skins. It is a difficult, time consuming, labor of love, but it can be done. Your best bet is to keep looking for a better hood, Good Luck! Quote Link to comment
