You guys are to young. I was a subscriber of Auto X before it was grassroots MS. Back in the early 80's it was printed like a tabloid in newsletter format. I've got every issue from the 80's and early 90's when I was single and had lots of $ to spend on modifications. They did an article on many Datsun's in the early days and the Harvey Bros from Lakeland had some killer roadsters and I remember several 70's Datsun's that they were racing. If I get the time to look up one of the old articles on the BRE I'll see if Tim will allow me to post some of the write up from the early days.

Hey we didn't say anything about this being the first issue we've ever seen or anything! :D

 

I was reading a couple back when they were talking about their first days and typing them up and whatnot, that was a cool read too. And yeah if you can post parts of the old ones that'd be cool!

I stopped reading them a while back as it seemed like it was the same old civic miata, bmw articles every issue.

I don't subscribe to magazines because I have the same problem but I thumb through real quick every once in awhile and buy seperate ones that catch my eye. Same with 4x4 mags etc.
