sdsurf
My fuel pump is working fine out of a gas can but when I try to go from my tank, I get nothing. There are 5 gallons in there so I know that isn't the case. Where should I start? Quote Link to comment
Bugeye
sounds as if the line is plugged inbetween the tank and the pump, I would disconnect the line at the tank and pump and use compressed air at the tank side and blow out the line. the sending unit in the tank might also be plugged Quote Link to comment
dgi
Verify your fuel filter (near the fuel pump) is not clogged with debris/rust. The pickup tube in the tank on PL521s is bad about rusting through and getting pin holes. If one of those pin holes is above the level of the gas, the fuel pump will only pull air. Don't ask me how i know  Quote Link to comment

The pickup tube is accessible from the access door in the bed, right? Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Mike, are there any ports on the tank not being used? If so they need to be plugged. I plugged 2 on mine using small pieces of fuel line & a 10mm bolt jammed into the end. Just a thought. Quote Link to comment
