Faster7 Posted April 30, 2009 Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 Did the 1200's switch from borg warner to jatco automatics like the US 510's, or were they jatco the for the whole US lineup? What fluid should I use? Haynes calls for Castrol TQF. I'll be putting a tranny cooler on, fresh fluid and filter, and hoping for this transmission to last a little while. Quote Link to comment

From the owner's manual: Automatic T/M Fluid: Type DEXRON (3N71B A/T) Any DEXRON compatible will work, including: * DEXRON 6 * DEXRON III/MERCON The bottle should say something like "Suitable for use in applications calling for DEXRON" Edited May 1, 2009 by ggzilla Quote Link to comment
