SRSANDS Posted March 11, 2009 Report Share Posted March 11, 2009 Im in the long ass dragging process of getting my dime ready for paint. I notice there are two small nipples (ha ha nipples) above the liscence plate. These are there because they are the spot welds on the inside of trunk where the trunk latch framing attatches. I was going to grind them down and fix it but if its normal I will leave it. Please let me know if your guys 510 has these (nipples) ha ha:D Quote Link to comment

ronnny Posted March 15, 2009 Report Share Posted March 15, 2009 When we are welding you try to set up to get a good weld. When you make near 200 welds in a 7 minute cycle your tips wear and when parts are not set right mess up tips also. So depending on condition of the welding tips and who is inspecting or running that day to what gets passed. Just sand it smooth and use a little filler then paint. Not in the car business but just happen to have 7 spot welders at work. Quote Link to comment
