  1. The time has come for me to move on to another car so up for sale my z goes! I have had this car for about 2 years now, i bought it as a non runner with no interior and parts labeled in baggies. This car had a bunch of electrical problems from a previous owner splicing new wires every which way, but its all back to stock and it all works as it should. It starts up and runs fine, once it warms up. THe SU's could use some fine tuning and a rebuild but it drives fine. Parts List: L24 4 speed Tranny Roundtop SU carbs Pertronix Electronic Ignition 6-2 header new ngk plugs and wires k&n filter straight pipe to magnaflow muffler New Mechanical Fuel Pump New Water Pump RT diff mount msa airdam bre spoiler New rear shoes in back with new wheel cylinders Hawk pads (still in box) New brake master cylinder new brake hoses Headlight relay harness Parking light harness rebuilt combo/blinker switch Grant steering wheel MSA modern fuse box Racing Seats (some kind of knock off reclineable seats) welded in roll bar tokico hp struts tokico 280z cut springs 185f 200r (these are a higher linear spring rate than the 240z progressive springs) Energy suspension Poly bushings everywhere xxr 527 15x8.25 Hankook Ventus v2 concept 205/50/15 ( less than 150 miles on them) The bad: no interior Driver side rust hole in floor pan that has a patch job a buddy did im not totally happy with all the vents/ducts for the heater and fresh air in a box out of the car heater core leaks, heater lines currently not connected paint is shitty passenger door has bondo Fuel gets into the oil somehow, im pretty sure its the old, tired SU carbs. Fumes in cabin, pretty common z problem header hangs low and scrapes over speedbumps and such I think thats about it, if you have any questions feel free to ask. Ill be up front with you and tell you everything there is to do with the car, i dont believe in hiding problems. I have this car listed on craigslist for 3500 but my bottom line right now is 3200. So if you interested $3200 and its yours. On to Pics!
  2. The carbs havent been cleaned but they have a rough tune and sync that i did. The idle is a bit high but its running fairly well. Spark plugs look fairly good if not running a bit rich. ill go ahead and check the carb floats, i havnt done that yet. And no it isnt an automatic, 4 speed manual
  3. double checked and yes the spacer is between the head and fuel pump
  4. yeah oil and filter were changed after the fuel pump was changed. It wasnt over full on the dipstick but the level had risen
  5. whats up guys, hoping you can help me out I've been getting fuel in the oil and not sure exactly what has been causing it. The car is a 240z with roundtop su's I originally replace the mechanical fuel pump thinking it was the diaphragm causing the leak for gas to get mixed with oil. Thought i had fixed it with that but checked the dipstick the other day and sure enough there's gas in the oil pan, pretty much no viscosity left in the oil. So im guessing it has something to do with the carbs thats causing the problem but im not sure exactly where to start. Any help is appreciated!
  6. Ive always had good luck with grubs on a carolina rig for bass
  7. Pair of 4 point schroth harnesses, They have the asm device, are DOT legal and all that good stuff. They are used and in great shape Looking for $190 shipped Hit me up!
  8. I think ive seen your car before it had the flares over by canyon hills jr high. It looks badass!
  9. Thanks! believe it or not it is lowered. im running tokico 280z springs because theyre stiffer, but are longer. i cut the fronts 1 3/4 coil and im almost on the bump stops. I can cut the rears another half coil maybe but i wont get the ride height i want. So iI guess i'll have to learn to live with it till i can afford coilovers
  10. Im usually not a fan of those rear bumpers, but i must say i kinda like it on your Z
  11. Anybody have 240z taillights or windshield wipers? Also the straight stick shifter that came on the early 4 speed transmission in the series 1 240z?
  12. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/ I used that website for help when i did my bushing install. Its under suspension, should have all the information you will need. It really isnt too hard of a job to do, just takes a lot of time. For me at least. I found doing the front was much easier than doing the rear. If you don't have access to a hydraulic press to get the spindle pins out i would highly suggest taking it to a shop to get it done. Yeah it will cost you some money but i found it 100% worth it to not have to deal with the spindle pin hell. Good luck!
