what pillar pod did you use for the gauges??
Its just one of the ones from autozone that you heat up with a heat gun and shape/ cut it to fit your needs.

Got it running!
Was the black with white stripe wire from the fuse box, the wire was separated in half. Twisted it together and bam!
So excited to drive it in a few days.

I swapped a ka out of a 92 240sx into my 510.
I had it running fine and then one day it just didn't have spark.
Replaced the ignition and it had spark.
Then out of no where it lost spark again.
It does not have power to the coil or the dizzy. When it did before.
I'm confused!

Well i added something else to the car..... :)
Chipped ecu for 550cc injectors and z32 Maf
Tapped oil pan
How she sits now, the intake is just temporary until i get my water/air intercooler installed.
New seat, in perfect condition under the seat cover
Greddy Type S bov
Turbonetics t3 50 trim Ball Bearing, oil/water cooled turbo :) And temporary intake pipe.
Rear Quarter
Shining in the light :)
Havent driven it yet due to the injectors leaking.
But hopefully within the next few days ill have a chance to!

This is my opinion here
I had the chip guard on my yellow car. I did not like it as it didnt make the car low enough LOOKING.Cause the black hides the height in a way.
So they resprayed over the chipguard so the car will still have the full look.
I believe the car would look best in the full color as you have it(NICE COLOR)
the black makes it look like your hide n a rusty rear panel or rocker guard.
just my opinion you can do what you want but it great your getting a 510 on the road.
I put the chip guard on before i primed it. Then primed it, then base, then the clear, so there is no black showing :)

I paid 500.00 for it and then sold the revolutions on ebay for 400 so I only paid 100 for the car. Here is what it looked like right before I pulled it out of the cornfield.
Sweet, where did you get the nismo wheels? I love them.
I guess you sold it to a guy with a username on here of comply, then he sold it to Dirttrack510.

I think those are my old Nismo wheels I sold with on my last 510. Where did you get them from?
I got them from a guy that recently moved here to Colorado.
He put his 510 up for sale on craigslist and only lived 4 miles from my house.
I went to check it out and decided i wanted the wheels, so i bought them with a few other parts from him.
He then moved to Utah and now i think he is back in Colorado.

UPDATE 10/10/2010
Well I have painted 3 cars now, and finally feel like my painting skills are good enough to tackle the 510.
The bodywork is really testing my patience, There are so many little dings, that i never knew where there until i primed it.
I really want it to come out perfect, So I am not going to rush, and be patient and try to get it as perfect as I can.
The ka is in and running. But runs super rich, I still need to hook up my Idle air control module to the intake.
I have decided to go ka-t Route, hopefully after the paint is done, Im going to start gathering pieces.
I would really like to add a newer Air conditioning system into the car as i hate riding in anything without a/c.
Well see if i can fit a condenser, radiator and inter cooler in the front lol .
The car should be painted in a week and ill try to keep up on updating the process.

Im installing my ka right now, i have a reversed cross member, what motor mounts do you use, like what holes? I cannot get it to sit right. I i am using the 510 motor mounts.

made some actual progress on the 510.
I have not worked on it in a few months, have been working too much
Now im back in school and not working that much and have some time.
So i pulled the L16, cleaned up the engine bay, painted it, and then put the reversed x member in and then set the ka24de in the engine bay.
Now i need Radiator, Fuel pump, Fuel lines, drive shaft, suspension, brakes and wire everything to get it running, and then paint the car :)

rear view mirror out of a Nissan Maxima.
It bolts directly in to the 510. Just use the 510s skrews.

im wondering about the oil pan, can i just get a oil pan and pickup off of a ka truck? how hard are these to find, there are none in our junk yards.
Its either that or reverse the crossmember.
How much are sway bars that work with the reversed crossmember.
Also how would use the ac pump on the ka to add air conditioning to my datsun.

Some progress on the my 510,
I got a ka24de out of a 1992 240sx
Came with complete wiring, transmission, ecu, and a radiator out of a 240 that i don't think i can use.
And a little more body work.
Who else has done a ka24de swap. Wiring will be the biggest problem i think.
If anyone can help with wiring. let me know.

So after the car has sat pretty much untouched for the past 2-3 years, I have been super busy with drifting and paying attention to that car ( ls1 s14) i finally decided to start working on it again.
I piked up a s13 hatch with a built sr20det in it.
Decided to pull the ka-t out of the 510 and swap it for the sr20det!
