  1. Unfortunately I was one of the first customers with the new contract so they had not yet established themselves as the Piss Poor company they turned out to be.  Just good timing I guess.  The wheels had locks on them too but of course the shippers had to have the key for the locks to go with it, funny thing is they were nice enough to return the key in a small box for me and leave it in the car.

Yes, they did still have the red stripe last I saw them.  Looked exactly how they are in the picture on the blue corolla.

No these were not the ones on Zeb's Z, he still has those sitting in his garage.  I knew it would be a pretty slim (at best) chance of finding these but I had to at least get the word out.  Who knows, maybe the kid who swiped them was stupid enough to leave them exactly how they were...

I got a feeling this is going to be somewhat of a long drawn out battle.  Good Times.  On a happier note, just got the word that my 620 arrived out here this week.

    Thanks guys

  2. So!  Based on a crappy photo of 3 of your spokes we are supposed to do WHAT! Get real.  No info, no meaningful responses. Post better photos or whel specs if you want more than BS responses.

Thanks for the reply, you nailed it once again.  This is the second time you have jumped into one of my posts with nothing other to add then being an F'ing douche.  Congrats once again.

Still in the process of moving around out here so don't have the info readily available otherwise it would be up here.  So this is about as real as it gets until I get settled in.  Just found out the wheels were gone and wanted to at least get the word out.

Please don't feel you need to reply, and grow the fuck up...Thanks again for your input.

Shot you a PM in the event you would like to carry on with the conversation.

  3. Yeah, needless to say I was none to happy.  The location in Santee is just north of the 52 on the 67 on Woodside.  It is the Vehicle Processing Center for Military vehicle shipments out of San Diego.   Their reputation is not that great and there have been many problems with these guys.  They took over the contract in May which just so happens to be the month I shipped my 510, great timing...

    Thanks guys

  4. As some of you might remember I shipped my 510 to Japan back in late May from SoCal...Well the 510 finally arrived only it had a set of cheesy ass XXR 501s on it instead of the XR-4s I had it shipped with. The vehicle was dropped off in Santee, CA on May 28th and eventually shipped out from Sante Fe, CA sometime in September or early October.

Shipping Company was International Auto Logistics and the timeframe would have been from June to September while the car was in Cali.

Wheels were 15 x 7.5 +5 They were black when they were on the car but may have been stripped.

Unfortunately I don't have any better pictures of them on the car, just put them on the week before it shipped but that is it at the shippers the day I dropped it off in Santee.

I realize chances of finding the wheels are pretty slim but It had to have been someone from the shipping company that had access to the vehicle.  If anyone knows of someone that might be affiliated with IAL that is selling (or sold) similar wheels please let me know.

    Any information greatly appreciated...Thanks

Thanks guys, yeah that is mine.  It is currently on a boat somewhere heading towards Okinawa.  Looking forward to that thing getting here.

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit, here is how it is looking now.  Lucky for me John Deere Green spray paint from Autozone was almost a spot on match

  6. What are you looking for?

A few different ones I didn't get a chance to pick up before I left a few moths ago.  Any of the 510 wagons, Red or Blue Kool Kombi, Snoopy, Black Hakosuka, VW Bug, Green 620, a few others that escape me at the moment...Anyone wanting to part with any of these let me know...Maybe even some trading.

Toys-R-Us out here is still sporting cars from 2012.  There are a few second hand shops that have a rather large selection of hotwheels but not much that I collect.

  7. Howdy all, It is that time once again for the annual Soap Box Derby and Car/Bike show aboard Camp Pendleton, 32 area on 22 May.  Just wanted to put this out there to see if there is any interest.

So far I think we have the Cobra and Porsche clubs of San Diego coming up as well as I think Jack FM will be on hand to DJ.  I know there is another classic car club from the area that should be showing up as well just don't remember the name off the top of my head.  Bitchin Burgers food truck will also be on hand.   Should have a few more locked on by the time the event kicks off.

It is somewhat of a small event right now but it is growing and should be a good time.  I think we have 6 racers already entered and shooting for at least 10.

    Will have trophies for:
    Soap Box Cars
    Fastest Car - 1st and 2nd Place
    Best Design
    Slowest car

    Motor Show
    Peoples Choice Car/Truck
    Peoples Choice Bike

If anyone is interested shoot me a PM or give me a call (MGySgt G - number on flyer) and I will forward a copy of the official rules.    Hope to see some of you out there...

  8. Sounds a little sketchy but if your girlfriend did not have a Power of Attorney than she cannot legally sell or trade your vehicle.  So basically sounds like she stole, and traded it and he received stolen property.  Don't know if you can go after the guy for stolen property without having it come back around on your girl, and to top it off she got rid of the honda so you can't even go back and trade it back...Shitty situation.

If you gave her a power of attorney than you are F'd regardless...Unfortunately I see that kind of stuff happen every so often with my younger Marines when they head out on deployment.

and agree with datzenmike on that one.

  9. At the K-Mart I was at it didn't matter how early you got there the didn't hand out tickets until 8:45 and up until they started at 9:00 (we were the first ones there).  If your number was called you got a whole case and could keep the entire thing or pick out the cars you wanted.  They had a big table in the middle for all the extras the winners didn't want.

  10. Got lucky at the Big-K this morning.  Both my daughter and I won the raffle to get a case...and my buddy won as well.

    2 T-Hunts

    1 Super T-Hunt (55 Gasser)

    1 Simpsons

Bunch of 620s, few 2000 GTs and a bunch of other random cars.  Not a bad haul

People were just tossing the 620s back on the table and we were snagging them up.  Picked up a few Jetsons at the 99 cent store as well.

  11. Thanks for all the info guys, have a little more searching to do...

My set-up is kind of odd.

It was built to fit a 13" wheel and uses a 10.5" vented rotor.  Wilwood has the Rotors available but no hats.  They do have an undrilled blank that might work but I have been trying to track something down off the shelf.

Thanks datrod...might have to take you up on that one.

    Appreciate the assistance.

  12. I would think that with 241 posts this member would think that we aren't mind readers.  And maybe he or she knows what the "Rotor Hat" is.  But I sure as hell don't!  And I will not waste one second to find out what the "subject" may or may not be.  Get clear [not in the so called "REGILiOUS" sense] or GET OFF!

GET OFF...Really.  If you don't know what it is then why post (twice).

Okay, I assumed since I was posting this in the brake section the term "Rotor Hat" was commonly known, sometimes also referred to as a Rotor Bell.  My mistake, wasn't trying to be intentionally vague, but no need to be an ass about it.

Rotor hat (bell) is used on a 2 piece rotor assembly.

4 lug rotor hat (103mm bolt pattern / 81 mm center bore) same as an S130 (280ZX) rotor bolt pattern - bolts onto the back of the hub.  It has a .250" face and an offset of 1.125". (1.125" deep from back of face to rear mounting surface)

The rotor bolts to the back of the rotor hat with a bolt pattern of 6 x 5.5.

Hope this clears it up a little better.

  13. Wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction...I am looking for a rotor hat for a custom brake set-up I have on my 510.

    Hat dimensions

For an S130 hub type (103mm PCD / 81mm Center Bore)

    Hat Face: .250"

    Offset:  1.125"

    Rotor Bolt Circle:  6 x 5.50

One of my rotor hats was damaged and have not been able to find a replacement.  Have checked Wilwood, Brembo, AP, BAER, and a few other random places with no luck so far.

    Any assistance greatly appreciated.
