Howdy All, Have an extra set (2) of BFG Radial T/As 225/60/14 sitting in the garage doing me no good.
Tires have less than 200 miles on them but were on a car I had in storage so they formed a small flat spot.
Tread is fine and tires look good. I just don't have anything to put them on any more.
$50.00 takes them away or open to trades (Parts, Tools, Fish Tank, Reptile Stuff, let me know what you have).
If interested shoot me a PM

Cool, Thanks man...

Looking to see if anyone has an extra Cam Oiler for an L6 laying around that they might want to get rid of. (stock type - the kind that bolts onto the cam towers, pictured below)
If so shoot me a PM.
Thanks

Very nice work and thanks for the input guys. A talked to a few guys that just turned it around and cut out the LCA mounts...Removing the center section just seemed like it left a lot less room for error, at least for what I have to work with.
That jig locks it down solid, you can't see it in the pictures but there are also nuts on the back side of the jig that lock it forward against tabs welded to the plate as well.
I like that top mount idea as well and was thinking of adding a top brace. Don't think there will be much (if any) heat shrinkage/movement when I pull it off the jig to weld up the bottom.
What did you all use to make the cuts - I don't have access to a band saw so might have to go with a cut off wheel and a slow hand...
Should be able to cut it up and weld this weekend. Will let you know how it goes.

Howdy all,
Trying to get things together for my SR swap - Picked up an extra crossmember and now in prep to cut and flip the center section.
Searched around a bit but haven't been able too find to much on the process. Looks pretty straight forward from what I have seen...
Attached are pictures of the jig I just finished. Just looking for some input on anything I might be missing before I cut this thing up...?
Any thoughts???

Just picked one up at Barnes and Noble...Good Read. Need to find me an RB tranny for my SR swap

Big Thanks qwik510 for the cross member in great shape. Great price and shipped it fast. Would definitely do business with again.
Now time to cut it up for the SR...

I remember going to the first MSA show. Was pretty much just a few cars in the parking lot in front of the store, then it blew up to closing down the entire street.
Good times...Good times

If it's a good price I would get them and put them in the garage. Looks kick ass now, good stance, offset, design...I vote nay.

Little bit different of a situation but when I brought my 71 Fairlady in from Japan I had to have a VIN verification done (no other inspections) at the CHP. Had an L28 with triple carbs, header, and not a bit of smog equipment to be found and had no issues. The CHP officer that did the inspection even complemented me on the car...
See if the guy will let you try and register the car first to see if any problems arise and go from there. If the guy knows it cannot get registered in Cali then it is a shady deal from the start...Just a thought

That would also be the Nissan Gazelle...

Anyone have any info on the bumper bracket things the Starlet has? good view at 2:30.
I am pretty sure they made them, I remember seeing a few pics in thier blog somewhere about how they made them. They do look pretty kick ass...

JDM Legends is out of Utah if I remember correctly. Emailed the guy back and forth a few times...he had a few cars on Ebay a while back. they have some pretty kick ass car pics and a few builds on the site.

One last go around for $550 OBO

Damn that sucks, I have had the same Grant steering wheel on my 71 Z for almost 15 years and never had any issues, have one on my 510 as well. Maybe quality control has dropped a bit in recent years with everyone trying to save a buck.

Time to vent...Was just talking with a kid from another forum to buy some car parts off him. He would not ship so had to go pick them up (no big deal there) Anyway, been going back and forth with this kid since Monday and we set it up for me to go pick up the parts this evening. I just got a PM from this kid telling me he sold one of the parts last night. Shit, If I had known he was in a hurry to get them sold I could have gone up earlier to pick up the stuff. I am just pissed because I thought we had a deal and he goes and sells the shit - now I am assed out. Debating now whether or not to buy the other parts from him just on principle of what transpired. I hate when people pull that kind of crap...

Don't even know all the different pieces of cars in my 71 Z, a few that I can think of
75 280Z engine
280ZX Turbo exhaust manifold
R33 GTS 25T Turbo
S14 Silvia RSR Exhaust
Griffin Rad for a Camaro
Tranny I think was from a Datsun roadster
74 260Z Doors
Seats from a Miata
One rear quarter panel from junk yard Z
Other rear quarter from a different junk yard Z
Radiator core support - Cut up Joe Weider Home Gym. (The most use I got from that thing)
Part of the Driver side Rocker panel from a old metal wall locker tossed in the trash at work.
Misc metal patches cut from an old Hakosuka parts car I had.
Toyota front Brakes
A bunch of other random parts bolted, welded, or glued on from random cars.

Was my first time down there last night, good time and some nice cars...Great meeting everyone, good group of people.

Howdy all,
Looking to see if anyone has an extra front crossmember for a 72 510. Working on a SR swap and would like to keep the car on the road while I assemble/modify the parts to do the swap.
Not looking for a modified one, stock will do fine.
If you happen to have an extra laying around shoot me a PM so we can work someting out - or email me at gumby_z13@hotmail.com
Thanks

Very nice carbs you got there. I have a set of SK 40s on my 510 and 45s on my carb turbo Z. I Love em.
Did you plug your choke levers on the back or did they come like that? I don't use the chokes and would like to plug them like you have there.

Upon closer inspection it looks as if there is some light cracking/dry rot on the portions of the tires with the flat spots. They still look fine but I don't want to sell them in that condition.
