They are the Kings of the 510’s. They have been collecting 510 stuff for 40 years. Other Datsun stuff too. I actually sent him an email today to ask if they have a couple things if I end up needing them. I’ll be posting my musings with this new beastie after I get it. I’ll be doing video as well. 510Keepers is just up the road from me.

Im picking up a 67 411. Does anyone know the difference between the SS and the SSS versions of the 411 or is there any difference? Thanks Pete

Just diving head deep into the 411 model Datsun. What is the difference between the PL and RL? Im picking up a 67 PL411 this coming week. Im coming at this from a VW perspective since that has been my main classics I like to work on and drive. I had at one time a 4 Door 512 and a 411 but the 411 was not drivable and I didn’t know which model it was. Anyway I liked the 510 a whole bunch but ended up selling it before the value jumped to heaven like the VWs. When I had it the car only cost me $200 bucks and it was not rusted or dented. Drove it for a year and sold it for $400. Won’t do that again. Anyway, hoping to get some information. Im also needing to find wiring diagrams and maybe a chilton books for repair. Parts as I figure out what it may need if any. Well, I know it needs a new drivers rear tail light because the original is busted. Thanks Pete 🙂

Sounds like it would be cheaper to just buy a 510. I didn't really have what you'd call an end goal. Just inquiring if it can be done. After looking at a 510 rear suspension and how it's all put together I'd assume the answer would be, not easily anyway. The 411 will be a daily street driver. No track stuff or anything like that. I do plan on lowering it running narrow tires so they tuck under the fenders properly. Not concerned with fat tires. That just causes more drag on the whole system. Might be a nice candidate for an Electric Conversion.

Im picking up a 411 Sedan but wanted to know if a 510 rear suspension could be retrofitted in the 411 for better handling. Not sure if that is possible but just wanted to get some feedback on that. I'd like to put in a larger engine like is found in the SSS models of the 411. Im even thinking of putting in a 5 speed if possible as well. I plan on restoring the vehicle and either keeping it a gas vehicle or converting it to a hot electric conversion. Pete
