I can say that when you're holding this in your hands it's a lot more burrly than the stocker

Kickass wagon

TMy kid has a mk1 rabbit and it's not close enough, I like the tank in the floor except for rear end collisions... but I wouldn't mind getting it out of the trunk either.. $2g fuel cell sounds daunting but might be the way to go.. but I hate changing foam..argh

Yeah that's probably the route I'm going.

This is the only one I have ever found. I'm either going to make it or delete it and just flat floor it.

Don't people just slot their cross members any more?
No cause there all rusted out..lol

I just ordered the inner and outers.. damn I wish I would have known that. I believe zcar Depot has outer wheel wells

No it's originally from Oregon then it went to Utah and ended up here. Original engine, 4sp and never been repainted. Needs floors, inner and outer rockers and spare tire well.

I bought this for my long term project so it wouldn't be installed for a while, but I'm thinking I might put it in my new purchase and then just buy another one for the other car.
-
So as I continue to collect parts for my mint 71 long term project I decided I need another project.. not very smart but this one's going to be a quick one and I'm not going all out on it though it needs it's fair share of panel replacement...

Nate, that was your brother's name, right? It's been forever. I've moved, you've moved, the context is lost.

There were two brands of Libre wheels. American Racing and Shelby. Both had a rough as-cast finish on the spokes from the factory, and also black painted, but I had a set that was a light grey and the finish looked original.
Here's a pic of my light blue 510 next to my brother's dark blue 510. Both with Libres. Photo taken around 1990.
That's the first 510 I ever rode in I've got 2 sets of americans and both are cleared over cast.

Holy shit. Where did you get that pic? That must have been 1992 or 1993. And that's Tim's house. See the VFR1000 in the garage? I always thought Tim was crazy for riding that beast.
I think my brothers girlfriend took the pic, I think this was right about when I bought your old 68 4 door. this was before tim wrecked the 510 and painted the rear blue. There was a picture with this of your teal/blue 510 but I can't find it
I want that multicolor wheel.

.I'm still waiting for it, but I will post pictures when I get it. On this install I definitely won't be pushing it's capabilities

Fitting that this car is the color of a WD-40 can as I'll use a ton of it while taking everything off..got some rusty bolts.. amazing how unmolested it is.. not clean just unmolested.
