While we're on the topic of reasons we don't trust the government, give this a watch.

If you're familiar with history, it's easy to find reasons why you should be skeptical of the federal government and the letter agency. Then shit like this happens, and you have to wonder...is the story we're told to believe the truth, or even close to reality?

Operation Northwoods: 1960's false flag operation that was presented by the CIA that involved proposed attacks of terrorism on US soil, shooting down of commercial airliners, etc etc to gain public support of a land invasion of Cuba.

If they were willing to do that in the 1960's, how likely is it that the contents of this video actually prove that the feds were involved in the Vegas shooting?

lmao that's epic. We have a large format printer at work that came in on a pallet and had to be assembled in the room that it's in.

As strange as it sounds, FCP Euro's process is legit and they do take it back. It works on more than oil, but for Datsun's that's all any of us would ever buy.

As far as Motul, it's about all I run in anything anymore. It's fantastic oil.

Went to Jasper/Banff CA in September. Didn't see a single Datsun, but saw plenty of cool trees and colorful waters.

I was honestly going to try and snag this one if it still had an L in it. The powertrain was the only thing that held me back.

In the case of firearms, they aren't any more accessible now than they were in the past 50 years. We had gun stores then, we have them now.

Our culture, however, has changed astronomically and we're unwilling as a society to discuss how our culture surrounding mental health is affecting us. Facing this would mean admitting that we have to make uncomfortable changes to how we approach vanity, popular culture, movies, games, etc.

Situations like the one that occurred recently are a prime example of why passing more gun laws doesn't work.

I've reached the point where anytime something like this occurs, I just associate it with the CIA, FBI, or any number of the letter agencies. All of these shootings occur right around (or after) the point where the feds are either gearing up to push legislation against a firearm/part or after they get smacked in a court ruling. In this case, California's assault weapon ban (along with many other 2A lawsuits) just received unfavorable ruling that either ended them, or put them into questioning in the supreme courts.

The FBI and CIA have shown willingness to use questionable or straight up illegal methods to either try and control people, or manipulate people for political gain.

Example 1: MK Ultra. If anyone here is unfamiliar, this is an easy to research pet project by the feds to use narcotics as a means of inducing mind control, or at the very least manipulation. There are other projects that took place under the umbrella of MK Ultra light Operation Midnight Climax that left one of their own dead. I won't ramble on about it, but it's certainly something worth knowing about.

Example 2: Operation Northwoods. This was a proposed false flag operation suggested by the CIA to justify an invasion of Cuba during the cold war. The idea was to convince the general public that a ground operation in Cuba was necessary, and in order to do that it was decided that a terrorist attack (or something like it) needed to occur on US soil. Ultimately Kennedy declined to proceee. Again, not going to ramble.

These are just TWO very real "conspiracies" supported by congressional records, there are many more just like them. The crazy shit is that these are just the few that we know about, and they bring into question the federal governments willingness to commit heinous acts against innocent civilians to gain political power. Imagine what is happening behind closed doors that we DO NOT know about.

If you bring up either of these two topics with someone who has never learned about the feds dark side, they'll call you crazy and insist that you're making things up. If you provide them with congressional reports proving the accuracy of the claims, they'll either refuse to talk about it any further, or they'll somehow try to justify it. because their government would NEVER hurt them or manipulate them.

Lets get some oics of that thing. I'd love to see it.

Thanks. I feel like I should have stuck with the 510s. The main reason being, most of the 510 owners now days don't really understand the true historical significance of the car. Nor do they understand "the right way" to build one. Feels like I'm stirring the pot here, but I'm not. It's a thing. New guys are viewing through a different lens, which is understandable.

I've been thinking about 510's a lot lately. Buddy local to me is selling his collection to move south so he has a 210 Wagon, 810 Maxima, and a few 510 projects I thought about picking through. I've got a coworker that has a very nice SR-510 that I thought about trying to snatch up since he doesn't drive it.

I met Peter Brock, John Morton, and a bunch of the crew (actually had dinner with John) and had the opportunity to see the BRE 510, which has kind of brought me closer to wanting a 510 just because of the historical significance. 

I would also love to have another 620 to build, starting from a cleaner more original chassis but that has been tough to find. 

haha welcome back to Datsun ownership. I haven't had a Datsun since 2015, and I'm pretty sure I'll have one again very soon. Not quite 10 years, but time sure does fly.

I've been really enjoyin' this guy lately. 

I've been there a few times the last few years...there's a lot of fun places to go near Denver;

-Denver Museum of Nature and Science (I liked this a lot more than I thought I would)

-Wings over the Rockies (one of the coolest air museums I've seen. They have a B1 Lancer, which is pretty rad)

If you're willing to get outside of Denver a bit, you should check out;

-Rocky Mountain National Park

-Pikes Peak

-Royal Gorge

-National Museum of World War II Aviation (this place is absolutely amazing. Staff is very nice, and they have great stories about all their aircraft that they love to share.)

-Garden of the Gods

Honestly, Colorado is one of my favorite places I've ever been to. I've been back a few times now, proposed to my wife at the top of the Rocky Mountain National Park last September, and would absolutely love to live there if it was feasible.

Cool bit of history I learned about recently after visiting the Yorktown again a few weekends ago.

Apparently during WWII, they used to have catapults that could launch aircraft from the hanger deck. This wasn't commonly used though, since it was only intended to be used in the event that the flight deck is out-of-order.

I used to do that, but Facebook isn't forcing everyone to answer membership questions for public groups anymore. They've been f'ing up public groups lately.

This is pretty much what it looks like trying to moderate a large FB group these days. There are hundreds of shit accounts trying to get in and get away with this kind of crap everyday.
