Are you talking about the oil pump spindle and if so how do I know where to put it?

It's getting gas It's getting air It's getting spark And I'm not sure exactly but I know it's all timed right!

Hey guys I need some serious help!! Everything inside/outside my l20b is all correct! I have great spark, motor is timed perfectly, oil pump spindle is at the 11:28 position, it's getting gas, has compression, everything is hooked up but it just won't start, it sorta acted like it was going to start but now it doesn't it just cranks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I was if there are any parts off of an l16 that are compatible with an l20b but what I really want to know is if the valve covers are the same. Sorry if you think its a dumb question I'm just super curious. Thanks.

Ok I'll do that tomorrow because I just left my shop! Hopefully the timing is right lol

I would check the cam timing like that bit I have a completely different sprocket! I had the motor apart and when it got timed I had the #1 piston at tdc I also had the cam at tdc, I then lined up the marks on the chain with the dot on the front of the crank and the 2 on the cam! I honestly don't know what to do.

Fuuuck this!! It's backfiring out the exhaust like a mother fucker! I let my friend do the timing chain cause I guess he knew what he was doing!!

I've also got no suction to my carb!

Starting fluid only made it backfire lol

Thanks but I'm not worried about that right now! It sounded like it wanted to start but now it doesnt! All it does is crank!

This is my distributor at tdc and my oil pump is at the 11:28 position with the small side pointing towards the front of the truck

Do you guys know by any chance if a 72 l16 distributor would work in a 77 l20b?
