  2. The screw that adjusts the points stops before it gets to .018
  3. Why would I clean the points?? They are already clean lmao And I've already tried what you are telling me to do!
  4. They are brand new But it won't even open up to .018
  5. When I adjust them they don't open wide enough for .020

  9. Alright so I was messing around with my coil and trying a few other universal coils that were in a couple other cars and I figured out my coil is A1! I was then replacing the points in my distributor and I realized that the lobes are worn down a shit ton and the only reason the points were opening before I took them out is because they were set in the distributor all wierd. I'm just going to buy a new OEM 77 620 distributor

  11. Ok and when I was running this set up I was turning the truck over for a few seconds and the coil got super hot
  12. You're wrong! I posted a picture of my coil and resistor and no one replied to it cause they were to busy helping other people in my thread lol
  13. I'm not going to run it with the resistor!!! That's why I asked how to bypass it.

  16. Can someone please tell me and or show me a picture of how to hook my resistor to my coil?
  17. I'm checking from the #1 spark plug and when I turn the distributor it only sparks in a few of the positions
  18. Ok and shouldn't the spark plug be sparking all of the time cause it only sparks in a few different spots and those spots that it sparks in it won't start!
  19. So I got it to start while I was testing the spark but I turned it off to put the #1 spark plug back in and it wouldn't fire back up I added a chassis to motor ground and I fixed the valve lash
  20. No it is not! I didn't even see that when I was putting it on.
  21. I'll look at the brake booster vacuum line once I get to my shop Thanks.
