Looks like I have located a 5 speed for my 1975 620 LB, the tranny is from a Z not sure exact year. Its 31 inches long but I want to confirm it will bolt up before purchase. Thanks for any info in advance. Hope the link below works

so i swapped in the 74' 4 speed and replaced the clutch with a new kit and the truck is running like a charm now

The judder happens during clutch engagement only but not when the engine is cold. Judder seems to get more noticeable and more violent on longer drives. I will get the existing flywheel resurfaced as recommended. Thanks for the info on the transmission I had a feeling it would but didn't want to assume.

so that screeching sound described in the earlier posts was just a loose alternator belt. caught that early on.

i did have to replace the timing kit due to a worn out tensioner, but runs amazing other than the slight judder i get on the longer drives. i think its the clutch

im going to replace the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel next. any recommendations on a good source for a flywheel for L2OB ?

i already have the other parts , do you guys know if a 74 4speed trans will fit an L20b bolt pattern ?

i happen to have a spare 74 4speed wondering if it bolts up 

Wacko I own a 520 single headlight from 66. I'm always looking for parts for it. If I come across some stuff I will let you know. 

Yes the 520 model which I believe was the 67-68 with these specific dual headlights. Thanks for the prompt reply Crash

Hello guys, do you know if the dual headlight housing is the same for 67 pickup and 68 pickup? I know these years look pretty much the same from the outside 

I believe so, It caught me off guard so I can't say for sure. But I will monitor it and let you know . 

Also, after starting it up twice from being cold I heard a loud screeching sound coming from what could be the clutch after putting in first, the sound goes way and doesnt come back.

Big vibration shakes the truck pretty violently for about 1-2 seconds. I started the truck today after leaving it parked overnight and the symptoms were gone, this is probably why I didn't feel the shaking during test drive . It seems like the symptoms come after a long drive, like when I drove it home it was pretty far then I drove to a friends house so I put some miles on it yesterday. Could it be the clutch heating up and not working properly?

The truck is lowered on 3 inch blocks in the rear not sure how much on the front. I will check the rubber surround today. Any idea where I can purchase the rubber surround and rubber mounts ? In case that is the problem. Today is day two of owning the truck so I will give you guys an update. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the reply's, I would also call it a shudder I guess, the truck shakes. It does not rattle while idling in neutral . Only when I'm releasing the clutch and giving it gas in first.

Hello y'all just bought a 1975 620. The truck rattles upon taking off in first gear. Not sure if it's a clutch or transmission issue or possibly carburetor since its happening upon acceleration from a dead stop. Otherwise the truck runs great. Previous owner said it also happens in reverse. Any help is greatly appreciated

Question, will a J15 engine out of 73' 510 bolt in to a 66' 520 pickup? I know that the J15 and J13 are very similar. If this swap is possible how much more power will I gain, the top speed right now with the current J13 set up is about 60-65 wondering if it would be even worth it to make the swap.any info is greatly appreciated.

This problem has been solved! . I had to replace my distributor ! Truck runs like a charm now

Thanks for confirming my doubts Mike. I was wondering if the parts inside this transmission would swap with my J series transmission or if the bell housing could be swapped

This transmission looks older than that of a 620 like the ad says it is. Can anyone identify this tyranny?
