  3. 1/4-18 or 3/8-18 pipe tap? If ya'll have a fastenal close by they will have the taps you need.
  4. Thanks for the help fellas. I ended up pulling it from the bottom. I took the crossbar off and lowered the differential and with a little wiggling and elbo grease it slid right on out. The hardest part about the whole thing was getting that very top bolt out right up against the firewall. I ended up and had to heat and bend a wrench to get it. All good to go now  Just have to put 2 u joint on in the morning and I will be right on time for opening day of deer season!
  5. Okay thanks for the tips. I'm going to give it a shot in the morning. will let you know how it turns out
  6. Okay thank you. What about just pulling the trans out without pulling the engine? not a good idea?
  7. I'm currently replacing the clutch and pressure plate. I just started on it today. I have everything taken up about from the under side. ( all of the driveshafts off) Is it going to be rough taking the transmission off from the bottom? I am reading everywhere online that its better to take the engine out to do this? Can anyone give me any advice/ pointers? This is my first time doing this. Thanks
  8. Alright thanks guys. Yeah all of the local parts stores and everywhere online is saying that the drivers side is obsolete. I had no problem finding the passenger side. Do ya'll think a cv off of a 84 would interchange with a 86?
