    Me n' my 720...

The st's work with spindles and 1/4" spacer but you still have to cut and grind loop form the lower control arm. and i pulled the windows if you still need them.
  2. thanks cool thanks. yeah I have 205/75 in the rear and 185/75 in the front. now its both drop spindles and turn torsion bars.
  3. what i have seen done is that you have to get the 720 spindle machined down to accept the toyota hub. also i think you can use the toyota spindle and hub but have to modify the lower control arm but not 100% sure
  4. Yes it was, but it was missing most of the leather. It was one of those universal ones that have a cap for the threads and 3 set screws to hold it on. Oh yeah Im using a 280z shift lever I think most of the 510's, 240z, 260z, 280z are 8mm x 1.25. and most of the trucks are 10mm x 1.25
  5. They are the stock 14" rims with a 1/4" wheel spacer
  6. Thanks I bought the belltech spindles
  7. The truck ran good till about mid 2011. while driving from work back home the truck started shacking bad and shut off. once again the truck stat, after saving up for a few months I decided it was time for a full rebuild. I started around December 2011 and got the truck up and running late January. finally got it out and like always start taking parts apart while waiting for parts also found this, the pilot bushing a little degreaser and magic didn't like it blue so black it was making a diagram helps out a lot more than you think after parts started coming in every thing started moving a long. while putting the engine back together, I sent out the trans to get rebuilt finally got the engine back in new clutch waiting for parts i decided to pant my valve cover, now just need to get a new nissan Z sticker a little more paint and it was back to daily driving then i started doing little things. i ended up buying a mooneyes steering wheel and shift knob to go with my 280z shifter, did the radio relocation and stuff. started to get wheel play and after looking found this so i figured if im doing ball joint, tie rod, bushings, and shocks why not get some of these after that i also ended up lowering the rear, and this is how the truck sits today.
  8. Hi guys Here is a bit of background on the truck it is a 1 owner truck, that my dad bought brand new from the show room floor in 1983 and is still with us. he used it for may years as a work truck, but due to some problems the truck sat in in our driveway for about 10 years, just rolling from side to side. Around 08-09 I started taking some auto classes at school, and instead selling the truck to buy a project car I decided to work on the truck. Since then i have been working on the truck slowly but surely. ill be posting some pics from when I started working on the truck to how is is know. I don't think i will ever be done with this truck I always find something new I want to do/try. The first day after dusting it off, and clearing lots of spider webs. After a few failed attempts to try to get to turn-over, I found that the carb was not getting fuel, after replacing the fuel pump and rebuilding the carb she started. Smoking everywhere after a few min. it was running. had to get rid of the ugly muffler after doing some of the basics, the truck ran fine. with regular maintenance and some new tires the truck became my daily. ill keep posting newer pics as i find them.

    Shift boot help

Yup I've been in the same boat looking for a boot but have never found one in good condition. The 280z shifter will fit and does look way better.
