  1. Bummer about the bad luck. If you still have it, what's left to be done and how much are you looking to get? PM me if you don't wanna talk numbers on this thread. My b110 is my daily driver and badly needs body and engine work. I was looking to your thread for inspiration and I am sad to see it still unfinished so many years later.

    pic's of your 1200

A few shots from this summer.
  3. In other news... a few weeks ago the engine wasn't sounding right so I took it in to the nearest shop. The 4th cylinder wasn't firing and the compression was less than desirable. They got the cylinder to fire, and it is back in business. It is idling lower, but seems like it is a little too low and isn't very smooth. I assume the engine is on its last leg. Contemplating my next move, would love to hear some opinions. It would be fun to swap the engine, but the structural integrity of the car is my concern, (rust, so much rust).
  4. Started meeting up for cars and coffee on Sundays at Madrona Park parking lot on Lake Washington. So far, it has only drawn a few people each week, but there have been some really cool cars. Here are some photos, enjoy. We would love to see more Sunnys out there this weekend. Usually people hang out from 10am- Noon. BYOC&C. Check out the instagram account for more pics of cars: @lakewashingtoncarsandcoffee
  5. After I changed the fuel filter the car has been running and driving without stalling. There is still some smoke upon acceleration and start up, but not as much. Not bad for changing a 3 dollar part. I worked on swapping the soggy door card over the weekend and pulled a broken spring out of the bottom of the door. After a little fishing around, I found the other end of the spring still connected to the locking assembly. This is probably the reason my door doesn't fully lock. I went out and found a similar spring and cut it to size, hoping I could blindly replace where it came from, but I ran out of daylight. I looked in the book and found some pictures of the lock assembly, but I can't seem to see exactly where this other spring goes. I would like to avoid removing the whole lock setup for now. Anyone have any thoughts? Found this picture on datsun1200.com, which I think might be the angle that shows the spring.
  6. Changed the fuel filter and it starts up really nice now. Old one was nasty. I also replaced a headlamp that was mismatched. Still more to do. I might pull the plugs next
  7. So the shaking stopped later that day randomly after stopping by work on the way home. There isn't the shaking or weird guttural noises any longer, but I am still concerned that something isn't right and haven't driven it much. I'm going to spend some time this week on it so hopefully I will have something more to update later. Thanks guys for the help!
  8. Car started up sounding like a lawnmower today. I was able to drive it around, but it was shaky and didn't have a lot of power. Any easy things I can check before taking it to the shop?

I have been waiting for thisss! Looks good.
  11. This definitely looks easier to mount, I'd be interested in grabbing this one and donating the Sentra radiator if someone can confirm it will fit.
  12. Assuming I will need to get some different hoses too right? The mechanic took one look at it and didn't believe it would fit, but I said Ratsun and he was like, "oh."
  13. Interesting. I did not check for that before installing. The car is stopping fine and doesn't feel like there is any drag so I hopefully I'm good.
  14. Radiator showed up like this. Will it be a problem??? Great Tip! Thank you.
