Could that be a problem that is making the transmission getting stuck on the firewall??

So I noticed that the clutch kit that i bought on line.. pressure plate seems to be little taller when I placed the old one next to it against the flywheel..

Quick question. When i do put the smaller inserts.where should i put spacer washers ,on top of the insert or way in the bottom of the strut??
