mike Posted February 18, 2009 Report Share Posted February 18, 2009 If youre asking how to tell what motor/head youve got look on the passenger side of the motor just below the head on the block there will be a machined pad that says L16 L18 L20. If its a z block it will be on the drivers side and partially hidden by the intake/exhaust. If you see the smooth pads you might have to scrub a bit to read them especially if the motor is dirty.
