Cooper78b210
So I'm in the middle of swapping out calipers on my baby and I noticed the new calipers came with little coil springs that slip over the pad retaining pins. These were either never installed on my old set up or they just disappeared after time. Either way I never had issues with the brakes before the seal went out. I have it all back together with the springs installed on the pins now. And the brake line is still disconnected. But I am noticing the outer pad is cocked at a funny angle due to the pressure of those retainer pins springs. And this concerns me. I understand that once the pad gets pressure on it that it will set flat against the rotor. It's not like there is a lot of pressure but it's just slightly concerning and I just wanted an opinion on it before I get it all back together. Please respond asap. It's getting hot out side Quote Link to comment
0r0B210
Put it all back together- it will set itself right unless there is debri or some clip or something is giving the right tension. Make sure nothing was bent during install. Other than it will set itself right. Quote Link to comment
