720_KID Posted October 7, 2013 Report Share Posted October 7, 2013 Alright so in the ending of March this year my engine began to knock. Last week I purchased a used engine and installed it. So the problem is that when I start the engine, it idles at about 2k. Probably 5 seconds later it dies. I kept starting it and giving it some gas but it just spits. I have the TBI so it has the electric fuel pump. I realized that the fuel pump is loud at first but 1 or 2 seconds later, it sounds like if it lost power or something. Is that normal? I made sure that there wasn't any vacuum leaks anywhere and that all wires were connected properly. Any ideas people? I would really love to start using her again. Quote Link to comment
