1970 Goon ... Heart transplant .... The resurrection!

So some of you have been following the build thread from cyrusthevirus who I purchased this car from. I may be loved or hated for the changes that I am making to this machine. Most of you will rememeber it like this:

 

 

This is how she looked when it showed up at my shop:

 

 

The motor has some issues and I have never been a huge fan of the sr20det so I will be transplanting a 2007 S2000 F22c engine and transmission into Venom. I also plan on using the donor s2000's pedal assembly, column, cluster etc.

 

 

Out with the old:

 

 

Stripped the interior completely out to install new pedal assemblies along with electrical and cloumn:

 

 

Because I am somewhat of a giant, I am removing the factory seat mounting points and inctalling a set from a 2000 Honda Civic which is nearly an exact fit. Doing this will lower the seats approximatley 4" making sure that I dont look like Harry and the Henderson's while I drive down the road

One fender repaired and ready for Por15

 

 

Here is a few shots of the engine bay prep, I will be painting every surface with Por15 for this season and then next winter we will disassemble and have it painted:

 

 

Should be black as night when we are finished!
