Datsun1978
What do I need? Does the swap need any different motor mounts? The harness news to be replaced let me know?any help is good I want to put a stronger engine on my b210 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, but the L16 isn't much more than the A14. You can also just as easily fit the L20B or L18. * Use a 510 or 610 crossmember, bolts right up to B210 and has the correct mounts. * Use the original B210 wiring harness Quote Link to comment
Datsun1978
Really ??? Nice thanks for the tips what the hp. On the L18- the L18 it's not a 6 cylinder or is it jut like the L20b ? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The L20 is a six-cylinder L20B, L18, L16 are all four-bangers. A14=80HP (4-speed B210s) or 65HP (from 5-speed B210) L16=96HP Quote Link to comment
leosnake
You live in CA as I...Are making this car an offroad only car....How are you going to deal with the smog issues every 2 years?! Unless you know someone...lol Get a spare engine build it up...and switch as required...No BIG DEAL with a B210! But if you pop the clutch anywhere in the area of 4500 rpm and above those spider gears will break! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Smog issue, no problem. Just use an L20B same year or newer, and fit all the L20B emission equipment. if you pop the clutch anywhere in the area of 4500 rpm...Voice of experience? Quote Link to comment
