lilbrown720 Posted October 15, 2012 Report Share Posted October 15, 2012 Hey guys, I think I mentioned in my intro thread that I was gonna swap a ka24de from a frontier, so here is the start of my build. Junk yard motor and trans, ready for rebuild just picked it up from the yard got it on a stand pulled the head off looks like the timing chain tensioner is completely broken bottom end I plan on boring this motor, plus a 3 angle valve job. I really want to build it for torque so my 720 can pull 33" tires with no problem. I am going to use ka24e pistons to up the CR to 11:1. If anyone else knows a good way to add low end torque to these motors (more than the frontier) let me know Quote Link to comment

lilbrown720 Posted August 26, 2013 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2013 UPDATE!! Finally got a chance to work on the motor. Got it completely disassembled and brought it to the machine shop. They ended up telling me that all the valves where bent and the cylinders need to be bored. Not a big deal since all the work I had done was so cheap. Pic time... Quote Link to comment
