ISPKI
Hello, I almost have my 77 280z running. I just got the new fuel pump installed, cleaned and painted the gas tank. I also found tons of horrible hacked electrical work, most of which is held together with duct tape. The other issue I ran into was when I started pulling off the old rotted fuel line hoses to replace it with new lines. My local store does not have metric high pressure lines (my car is fuel injected) and the line they said was the closest match really does not fit the connections. I took about five hours trying to get the lines onto the pump and the other connections under the car. I was wondering what size people would suggest to get a good seal, and not have to fight tooth and nail with every connection. I read that 5/16 would work (factory connection was 7.5mm?). I am going to be replacing as many hoses as I can, most of them are in very bad shape and look like the original lines. Quote Link to comment
San Maru
Take a sample of your hoses that you cut to a different store. I find that local stores have it here, but it may be different there. If nothing else, contact a z parts vendor like MSA. Quote Link to comment
Tice
^ agreed. Take small samples to a parts store, and get what sizes you need. Always buy more than nessecary. You can always cut more off when you get back to the car to install it. Quote Link to comment
