thumper
Hey Guys, I am sure this topic has been answered before but through a search and looking at the wire diagrams I could not find out. I acquired a oem tach for my 71 510. It is a 2 wire tach. This is a pic I got from the site here that is the same of what I have. So what I understand is I need to run a wire from the coil to the tach and then another wire from the other wire of the tach back to the coil. So what I am trying to clarify is the white harness plug. That comes off of the bulbs. It looks like the same type of plug as the turn signal bulbs harness. ( The bulbs for the turn arrows on the dash. ) 1. Where do I plug this into? 2. Do I run the wire from the + of the coil to the tach then run the other wire coming off the tach back to the - on the coil? 3. If I am correct so far. Does the + from the coil go to the male or female on the back of the tach. Just want to make sure I wire it right. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Dwayn Quote Link to comment
