ninja revival

as many of you know that i wrecked my bike last year towards the begginning of the summer of 2011.... i had my head up my ass flying down a road near lake cavennaugh in washington... instead of making the ccorner i went aboutt 45 into a ditch head on... my battle scars consist of two on my right ribs from my bars. my right calf muscle is a complete burn scar and my left calf has a small burn scar about 2 x 1 inch. and my right wrist was never felt the same.

 

 

 

in december of 2011 i decided i wanted to get the bike fixed and road ready by feb of 2012 so i could have a commuter better than my 79 dodge d50 sport. after doing a complete parts list of i had fucked up and searching for" new parts" i did about $2,000 of damage. we have this store in lynnwood called bent bike that is for less of words, pull a part, for bikes. but they also have new parts and acc.... any ways here is the life of this ninja since i have owned it.

 

i got it in feb of 2011 with 70,000 miles never been dropped no mods.

around easter i low sided around a a left hand hair pin around 10 mph i had cuaght some gravel and i paniced and dropped the bike. instead of lookin thru the corner and powering out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i had always wanted to put dual head lamps on it and go a bit naked with the bike.... this little accident pretty much gave me an excuse...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so after a few months go by. and its july ish... my boys and i are out and about havin fun and then i do the " big crash" that we reffer to cuz im the only one out of our group to do such things... i come home with my bike in the back of my bosses truck lookin like this...

yeah.... my bad.....

 

 

 

any ways my birthday was in december and i didnt have much to do so i decided to go out to bent bike and see what they had that i could use....

 

i scored a set off forks off an earlier modle ninja for $130 and shift lever for $15 and i got to go back for a clutch lever and grips.

 

i picked up a 2008 ninja 2-1 muzzys exhust system and had to slighty moddify it it fit and im still working on the repaint portion....but this is what its looks like with the new exhuast and forks

 

 

 

 

since then i have removed the tank and repainted half the plastics and tank.

 

 

 

 

right now im working on the tail section and installng the stage one carb kit

 

im thinkin about painting the rims red and when the tires need to be replaced ill get white walls...

 

so far im at $800 in parts buying and mostly done. i need to get head lights and some control stuff and it will be road worthy.. :D
