1969 Datsun 521 PU with J16

I bought it truck a few months back to restore into a daily driver. Unfortunately my budget is tapped and I can't afford to keep working on it. It was running strong but recently the radiator has started leaking from the front seem and will need to be fixed or replaced. The previous owner had swapped the motor for a larger J1600 at some point. The motor is very very rare and highly sought after. It has a consistent idle and oil pressure, and the transmission shifts fine but I believe it might need some valve work, compression is low in cylinder 3. From what I've read you can use MGB parts to fix it. I have the title in my name and it is currently registered until may 2012. It's a great candidate for restoration with almost zero rust. Over all its very clean but still needs some work.

 

Some things that have recently been replaced are;

 

New Valve cover and Exhast gaskets

Carb was Professionally rebuilt by Contra Costa Carb

GM Alternator

New Hoses and coolant

Oil and filter

Cap, rotor, plugs, and wires

Trans and Diff fluid

Electronic fuel pump and filters

Front brake lines, pads, and springs.

New interior carpet kit

Lots more little things....

 

These will also be included;

 

2 sets of wheels, 1 set white 14", and 1 set chrome 15".

Stalk front bumper

Heavy duty rear bumper with hitch

Rear raybestos brake pads and springs

 

I'm hoping to get $1800 for it
