IttyBittyDat Posted December 3, 2011 Report Share Posted December 3, 2011 Looking for a Datsun 1200 NOS 3.90 H145 gear set, or a used differential (pumpkin) with a 3.90 gear ratio. Please, no million mile plus units that were run dry, filled with sawdust and 190w gear oil. I already have one of those. If used, the ring and pinion should be in good shape, with no excessive wear steps, chipped teeth, etc. Even better would be an intact LSD 3.90, but that's probably a bit of wishful thinking. Thanks! ggzilla Posted December 3, 2011 Report Share Posted December 3, 2011 That's the stock ratio. You can also fit a 3.889 from a B210 or B310. It bolts right in and is stronger and quieter than a 3.90. Link to comment

If so, I should get one of those nifty spacers used to adapt the H150 pumpkin to the H145 housing, eh? Anyone have a B210/B310 3.889 pumpkin or ring & pinion collecting dust that they would like to get rid of? Same criteria applies as in the original request! (no junk please) Link to comment
ggzilla Posted December 4, 2011 Report Share Posted December 4, 2011 Yes, 1975-1982 has the H150 1974 B210 has the H145 I'm told you don't need to buy a $90 spacer, it will run fine without it. If you not comfortable with that, use three gaskets. Link to comment
