rusty510
i want to put a ka24e in my 510. i have done alot of research (by the way, thanks icehouse for the wiring write up!!) and feel i am almost ready to do the swap, but i have a few questions that most people dont cover when discussing their swaps. 1. when i hook up the electric high pressure fuel pump, can i use the existing fuel hard lines and just swap the rubber ones for high pressure ones? 2. does anyone have specific instructions for flipping the crossmember? i think the point is to make it bow backwards to clear the front sump of the ka, but i cant find the specifics or pictures on where to cut ecetera. 3. what tranny mount is the best one to use? i know you can rig a couple to work, but on something that small i would rather just get the right one. 4. how concerned about driveshaft alignment should i be? i have heard that people who do this wrong on SR swaps will break u-joints. 5.other than the wiring that icehouse covered in his write up, is everything else like the alternator and stuff just hook up and go? or are their differences like internal v. externally regulated alternators? and if so should i plan on wiring that stuff too? i appreciate any help and if there is anymore information or tips you guys know that would be awesome! thanks in advance.
