qwik510 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 I went out and saw the car last year. At that time he wanted $2500 for it. I was not willing to pay that much for it. The doglegs and inner rockers are pretty rotted. Bottoms of the fenders and the areas behind them are pretty rusty too. He has since cleaned up the drivers floorboard and primed it. IIRC, the passenger floorboards were worse. It is a decent project but I didn't offer him enough for it. I have learned my lesson on rusty east coast 510s. There is usually quite a bit more rust then you can see and I would prefer to bring a car from the west or south then deal with all that rust. Hopefully whoever buys it knows how to fix it properly. Will it bring $2500? Maybe. As hot as these cars are becoming, someone that doesn't know any better may even pay more. Link to comment
