510 wiring questions

Recommended Posts

Alrighty opened the dash up today to find out why stuff doesn't work and had a few questions that couldn't be answered by the haynes manual..

2 red and black wires that are soldered to ignition switch housing... i get 12 volts at one and ground at the other.. Im assuming these are for the buzzer ?

Green wire with a double connector coming out of the harness near the fan switch.. I assume this is related to the radio ?

IIRC, there are not tach loop wires in the dash. There was a special harness that you could by that would run from the coil to the dash. It is easy to hook up the tach, just run 2 new wires yourself.

This article tells you how to hook it up.
