210 engine swap

I would like to swap a newer, EFI, OHC engine into my 210. I would prefer a small displacement (1.4L-1.6L) to maintain gas mileage Are there any such Nissan engines that wil bolt up to the exixting 5 speed?

That's right, none bolt up.

 

But you could fit a Nissan E15 or Nissan GA16 engine with just typical engine swap stuff:

1. Replace rear-facing distributor with $200 crank trigger

2. Bolt up transmission with four of the six bolts.

or you can just efi your current set up. what are you after? more hp? more gas mileage? there is a forum member here with an A series engine ( like the one your 210 ) that gets more than 65 miles per gallon with a carb.
