  1. what parts do you have left ? I need parts for my 69' 521 rear refelctor (red) hood emblem datsun 1600 fender emblems windshield rubber shift knob steering wheel rear bumperettes chrome and brackets tailgate with hinges and chains pm me or email comatose03@gmail.com
  2. come to fl i'll trade you my 620 for your bag system
  3. I think this is the right forum room for this build moving it over from "720 room" anyways heres a pic of truck right now then today my metal came in finally so i removed the diff and will be cutting back half of frame off I also bought new hood from junkyward cause my old one had a huge hole cut out for motor to come thru , i wanna build a nice cowl on new one and got new bed for 200
  4. ok cool , i didnt really look under the truck yet for the torsion bars just noticed the skinny ones on front , so it sounds like they are almost the same as when i lowered my first 720 heres more pics also after a wash n wax on outside , still needs interior cleaned
  5. I have always loved datsun 620's and finally bought my first one today for $400 , since my 720 is in the shop in my backyard while i build my backhalved frame and triangulated four link bags on bars setup (pics and posts in 720 section on this site), i needed a daily driver ... I went on craigslist and i knew i would buy the 620 as soon as i saw the listing :) it has a good amount of rust, and the gas tank had a bunch of holes in it so it has a boat gas tank in the back , another problem im having is the throttle pedal seems to start halfway down or something .. not much pedal movement ... is there some way to tighten cable to get more throw or what ? I plan on using some 14" frontier wheels i had in the shop while i paint up the original wheels and polish up the caps , and i also wanna lower it , are the really skinny bars on front end the torsion bars ? is this how u lower the front of 620's? here is a pic, will post more after i have time to wash and wax it :)
  6. come to fl i'll trade you my longbed for your shortbed :)
  7. will do , metal should come in tomm for four link and im contemplating backhalfing frame and building my air system inside the new frame ... i will deff take pics and let yall kno either way
  8. heres a 85 nissan 720 i bought for $700, i had to replace the head gasket and i also installed headers and a 34/34 carb while i was under the hood.. the truck was already bagged and bodydropped but it wouldnt lay out so i put it under the knife ;) the first thing i did was notch out the firewall and fenders cause they were sitting on wheels when aired out , i still need to adjust front shock mounts cause they are binding and not letting it lay rocker in front, in the rear he had kept the leaf springs on so it wouldnt let it go lower so i cut them off today and also removed gas tank to make room for four link and it will be replaced with fuel cell, i still need to remove the bag brackets and bags he had on rear axle to allow it to lay in back since i will be mounting the bags on my lower four link arms anyways to get more lift... well heres some pics when i first bought it .. low but not low enough... before i took springs and gas tank off notice how high leafs are keeping frame bye bye gas tank , lowering blocks and springs with plenty of room to start welding in my four link after notching firewall, still need to adjust shocks to lay rocker ... alot closer to ground his old bag brackets need to be removed tomm so it'll lay tomm i will be cuttin off all unneccasary brackets like leaf spring , axle brackets for bags , gas tank bracket what do ya'll think ?
