How about the columns from the rhd 521s? I've seen a couple, from thailand I think, that were column shift. Has anyone tried one of those? Imposible to find?

I have a 72 521 five speed and I really want to change it over to a column shift automatic. I've searched and I haven't had any luck finding good info I just wanted to know if it was possible and if anyone has done one. What parts are needed and what kind of mods need to be done. Any info would help. Thanks

A buddy of mine just welded the holes for me and I smoothed it all out with body filler I just saw your truck and I was going to ask you the same thing. I need to find a way to make my fuel gauge work too. It's funny, I have peep mirrors on my truck too Anyone around the Fresno CA area have a bench seat they might want to sell or trade for?

Sold the escalade wheels and ripped the foam cover off the dash, filled the holes and painted it, and added a Z steering wheel I just rebuilt the weber and now I have to replace the fuel pump and most of the fuel lines cause I just found out they were cracked

Im in need of some help in Fresno Ca. Ive always been a 240sx guy but I recently got the chance to buy a 521 and I jumped on it. Well I've never worked on a carb before and I don't have any friends that have either so I need to make some in a hurry. The truck is a 72 521 with a weber 32/36 carb. The truck had a few issues when I picked her up so I'm slowly going through them. The one I'm stuck on right now is the carb. I bought a rebuild kit for it and that went well enough except for, I noticed that some of the parts seem to be sticking and others seem to not be opening all the way. I'm not actually sure if anything is wrong but I don't know anything about carbs so it could be shot to hell for all I know. I would post up picks and ask for advice but the only Internet access I have right now is through my phone so I'm hoping that there is someone in or around the Fresno area that would be kind enough to stop by and take a look at things for me and lead me in the right direction. I recently purchased a 72 521 and the truck came with 17 inch escalade wheels with nearly new tires. They're really not my style so I was hopeing someone might want to trade me for some stock 521 wheels that have the hubcaps and good tires. White walls would be a plus, the taller the better. Let me know what you have and maybe we can work something out. I'm also looking for a bench seat. The truck came with buckets but I'm not sure what they came out of and I don't really like them.
