  2. I guess I could investigate cutting the 3rd pulley off on a lathe and just install the harmonic balancer. I'll check it out in the morning and see what can be done. Thank you. Jim
  3. To make room when I install the ’92 KA 2.4 motor in my MG I need to remove the harmonic balancer pully (3rd pully) is that wise? Will the motor be affected by the lack of not using that outer pully with the harmonic balancer. I only need the middle pully for the water pump and alternator. Thank you Jim '58 ZB Magnette

Looking for the adapter between the L20 distribitor and timing chain cover. Don't know the year. I am putting a L20B distribitor in a 1992 KA 2.4 motor. I have the correct oil pump spindle, I am looking for the adapter that holds the distribitor in to the timing chain cover. Hood Rivre, OR 97031 area Thank you Jim

  5. The '92 2.4 fan blade with the clutch removed has a 5.25 spacing on the mounting bolts ( diangle ). The water pump has a 2.37 diangle spacing. Do they make a spacer that allows the 5.25" blade fit the 2.37 water pump? ( less clutch )
  6. Is there an adapter so I can install a '92 D21 2.4 Nissan plastic fan to the water pump with the clutch removed? I do not have the space in my '58 MG Magnette and the hood support and size does not allow me to install an electrci fan. Thank you Jim
  7. Thank you, I'll check out the fan measurements, but also look into the electric fan unit. Thanks Jim Hood River, OR
  8. Oops it's 60 mm or 2.37 inches. It sucks getting old and you read the small numbers wrong. So, the smaller blades make a racket, maybe I'll go with an electric fan. Thanks Jim
  9. I am trying to install a '92 D21 KA motor in my 1958 MG Magnette. Not much room so will a non-clutch fan from a 1973 620 fit the '92 KA water pump with the clutch removed? The bolt holes on the pump are 6" apart at the cross section. Thak you Jim Hood River, OR
  10. Thank you for the update. I am trying to install a KA 2.4 motor in my 1958 MG ZB Magnette. The clutch will be really close to the frame. So, I was thinking about the Hydromex concentric internal slave. But I think I better stay with the original fork and slave unit. Thanks Jim
  11. Has anyone installed a hydramax concentric internal slave cylinder in a KA D21 5 speed transmission? If so what brand and did you have any issues with installation? Thank you Jim Jans

  13. OK I'll keep looking for the Z20,Z22 or the Z24 spindles and stay away from the L24 and L28 spindles.
  14. OK I'll keep looking for the Z20,Z22 or the Z24 spindles and stay away from the L24 and L28 spindles. Thank you
  15. Oops L24 / L28 spindles
  16. Is the oil spindle the same from a Z24/Z28 motor prior to 1985 and a L20B or Z20,Z22, Z24 motors? A couple Z28 oil spindles are listed on Ebay, but no returns. I want to install a Z20 or L20B point distributor into a '92 KA 2.4 motor Thank you Jim
  17. That should make my job easier. Thank you Jim
  18. No, My MG is a four-door model (ZB Magnette) and they have leaf springs with socks, the leaf springs are about 38" apart from each other. The drum-to-drum measurement is 51". With a 4x4.5 bolt pattern. Thank you Jim
  19. Yes, Thats Hood River, OR Portland is about an hour west. Jim
  20. The MG has a 51" drum to drum and the weight is 2,403 lbs @ 68 HP The D21 is 2,645 lbs and has 120 HP. I'll have to check the brake slave cylinder bore and leaf spring distance. The MG has a ratio of 4.55, I heard the truck has a ratio near 3.55? My MG rims are 4x4.5 lug pattern, so an adapter would have to get the 6 lug rear end to a 5 lug rims to match the Dorman rims I have up front, 939-124 should work. I don't need the bolt patter to match between the front and back, they have hub caps that cover the lugs. They are 15" rims, but didn't the 4x4 trucks have 15" rims? The B210 should have a 4 bolt pattern so my rims may fit that I already have on the stock MG rear end. But getting a rear end from those older models might be like getting hens teeth? I'll have to check out your list of other rear ends. Thank you Jim

    Oil pump shaft

What oil pump shaft will fit in a '92 KA 2.4 timing chain cover and allow a 720 or a 620 distribution with vacuum advance? Also what oil pump can I use? I am working on a '92 D21 2.4 motor, but what a water pump without a clutch and no computer control on the distributor advance. Thank you Jim
  22. How wide is a rear axle from drum to drum on a 1992 D21 Hardbody 2WD truck? I was told the ratio is 3.55 and I want to put it in an older MG car. Thank you Jim
