Was your radiator for a 240sx or 720?

What coolant hose did you use for the lower radiator? I tried the one for 240sx, but it didn't work.

We had the pan modified by someone else. He checked it for leaks while we were there and fixed them up. We had to bring it back to him because it didn't quite fit the front cover. So we are waiting to get that back.

The KA came from a 1995 240sx. The truck is a 2wd. We have gotten a ton of information off this site. We even bought the engine mount from ]2eDeYe.

My 16 year old son had this wild idea that he wanted to get a KA24DE motor, because he was interested in boosting an engine. About the same time, I found this nice little Datsun 720 from the original owner for $1000. I was able to barely drive it home and get it in the garage. So he tells me, lets get a KA and drop it in here. I forgot to mention, I work in IT and have no mechanical training. Luckily he is in automotive classes at school, so I let him run with it. We get this KA engine from Michgan disassembled. He was able to follow the service manual and get it all put together after we got it back from the machine shop. He spent hours cleaning it and painting it. We started disassembling the motor from the Datsun and cleaning up the truck. That's where we are at. Photo album

Thank you. So I understand, the flange part that mounts to the motor is from the ka24de. The part that drops down in the back of your picture is from the d21 pan. What's the Frankenstein looking part from in the front?

Any chance you could post more pictures or videos on the oil pan modification?
