    Bonehead questions...

Man, how is this chick's back holding up?!
  2. I wish you all the best with your projects. I learned within 24 hours there are certain things from the past not worth re-living. Highschool in a mini truck is one of them.
  3. $999 - reserve has been met. Bidding ends Monday, 12/17 morning around 9AM PST.
  4. On eBay now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160189232100&rd=1
  5. I wrote a little in the build thread. After looking at it this weekend and researching bags, it's going to take a lot of time and money I don't have. It's also very clean and I think it would be better to find something someone has given up on. I came across something here locally, but can't have two projects. This guy has fabricated control arms with bag buckets and a 4 link rear. He's desperate to sell it and all I''l need to come up with is the KA with tranny. Seems like a much more affordable route versus starting on this one.
  6. I'm serious and I realize everyone is in shock, but this is actually going on eBay tomorrow AM.
  7. No, not the black one in Stockton. After seeing how clean this truck is, one - I feel bad tearing apart something that has been taken care of like this one. and two - if I can find something that already has the bag setup with a 4 link, this will save me a lot of time and money to drop the KA in. This truck now runs great, could use an exhaust gasket, but will run for a long time - a lot of life left. I like this truck, but can't have two here.
  8. 1977 Datsun 620 kingcab with L20B and 4 speed. Rust below the extra cab, a small patch panel will need to be replaced. Exhaust leak coming from the manifold, but other than that this truck is in very good, original condition. 168K miles, all new brakes just done. $2200 OBO. xxx xxx.xxxx or xxx@xxx.xxx.
  9. Uh oh. I just found a fully bagged rolling 620 that the guy is desperate to sell. He's dumped a ton into this thing including a 4 link in the rear. This seems like a better way to go than cutting up grandpa's vintage '77. So, I can't have two trucks. And I'll need the cash from my recent purchase to buy #2 project. I'm posting this on Craigslist tonight, asking $2200 OBO. -Devin
  10. Yea, what this guy in Oregon referred to as "surface rust," is what we call in dry CA full blown patch panel replacement. I need a lot of bodywork done and need to figure out my priorities now. Not to mention I've got a really bad exhaust leak that needs attention asap. I have decided on a paint and color, see below. http://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/hrf231.aspx I've got a set of 16" rallies in the garage I was going to have powdercoated black and run whitewalls, but now am considering a set of Tacoma steelies too. We'll see...
  11. Removed and gave away the shell. Tucked the rear license plate up about 5" then removed rear bumper, mud flaps and all body moldings. Torqued the fronts down 2" and installed 4" blocks. I think I'm getting talked into buying lights and a tree tonight by the boss. So now I'm going to go enjoy a beer while I clean the garage.
  12. "Custom" upper control arms - how tough were these to make? Were these fabricated '79 uppers? Do you have any pics? Does anyone know if 16s will work?
