I got it fixed it was the reverse shifting fork now it shifts great! Now for the past 2hrs I been trying to get that tranny back into its place but nothing.

I got the Transmission apart ant the gears seem fine no noticeable damage, but the I don't know what is called that holds the gears is loose and dint know how to go about tightening it. I found a replacement at a junkyard getting it this weekend. Tried to post pics but I'm on my mobile and can't figure it out. Anyone one know how to tighten it?

I took the transmission out and weird thing is when I put it on the work bench it popped outta gear and is shifting again? Is that an ok thing or should I be worried if I put it back in would happen again? Should I risk it? I called all the local junkyards and they don't have my transmission model.

Dumb question but it could be caused by low gear oil? Just check it and it seem pretty low.checking all my options before I take out the tranny.

I know that's a lot of bolts and saw i have a divorce transfer case yay me there goes my week lol.

I really don't wanna pull the engine and tranny up from the top their so many wires and tube to deal with. I'll take my chances from the bottom but just saw a cross member welded to the frame! That made my day worse.

Is their anyway I can fix the transmission inside the truck? Just cut up the floor board and address the problem? Or would it have to be fully removed? Only reason why I ask is that i don't have floor jack.

So my only option is replacing or rebuilding.? I'm not really tech savy with transmissions is ita real hassle to take it out n apart?

I meant push the clutch it just to push it off the street that's the only way it'll go forward. And that didn't work its like stuck.

Hey guys how's everyone doing. I got another problem on my truck is an 86 kingcab manual that won't shift out of reverse. before it would just stick til I roll back a bit then quickly shift to first that's what usually worked. Though note it won't shift out of reverse. I had to push the clutch in and pick it off to curb any help would greatly be appreciated.

Hey guys/girls I got a problem my ac compressor is shot is their anyway in rebuilding it? Don't really feel like dishing it out $300 foot a new one. Any suggestions with help thanks.

Is a four wheel drive. How do you do the torsion bar? I'm not looking to lift it like 10" just 1 or 3" so it'll fit my new tires.

Ok my 720 kingcab is at a slant I hate it I want to lift it not to high just enough, but I can't find no company that carries the product I wanna put 30/9.50/15 to make it look aggressive would it be able to fit without a lift?

I got a new battery for it and the owner hooked them up which is why I got it for $300 he messed it up before I put it on the trailer.

Hey guys and girls I'm new to this site doing it on bing, will my problem is I bought a 86 720 kingcab from a guy for 300 runs good,although he crossed the battery cables. Now my gauge cluster don't light up my radio is out ac components won't work. I checked all my fuses they're all good but my tail lights, turn signal and hazard won't work I'm getting real frustrated with this truck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
