  1. Mine rusted out same place. I found the location by pulling the carpet, drying everything and then dumping buckets of water. I was able to reach in the vent at the back of the hood and plug mine with silicone sealant. It was a royal pita but worth it.
  2. Thanks for the response. I certainly didn't go that far to flush my system. I'll save your post for next time when hopefully I'll have more time and space.
  3. This has probably been covered before but I can't seem to find much info on it. I just replaced the water pump on my 1985 720 4wd. I didn't keep track of the volume of fluid I drained out but it seems that for both the flush and the final fill I put it in less than 2 gallons when it should take 2.6. After draining the radiator using the petcock, I filled it to the top, ran it till it warmed up and then topped it off. I'd say I put about 1.75 gallons in each time. Am I missing something? It's not running hot so I suspect it has enough fluid in it but that I am not fully draining the system. If this is the case, how do I get the rest of the coolant out. One thing I noticed is that my radiator cap is weeping a bit, maybe that the system isn't coming up to pressure? Thanks for any help on this Teryk
