  1. Ah damn I forgot to put in ae86. Yeah hes right though the 240's and corollas are insanely overpriced everybody has to jump on the bandwagon and own one. thats why i sold mine. What about a Z car. Ill be honest I dont know a lot about them but I think they look sweet!
  2. Ok so I usually think poll threads are kinda dumb but hopefully the ratsun crew can help me out with out too much flaming. I want to get another car, hopefully something to start autocrossing and open track days and whatnot. Something to work on and stuff. I dont have a ton of money as you can see by my car choices. Ive owned a few 510's and a few 240's so I know a bit more about them. Im basically looking for a fun relatively cheap car that I can take on drives here and there but more of a fun project. I know this will be a biased poll for datsun peeps my only negative for the datsuns are they are getting rather expensive and I will end up doing more restoring than anything. But trust me Im real fond of 510s. Please dont flame me too much for putting a honda in there. They are just so cheap and I see a lot of them at event. Not a huge fan of fwd though. Any other new ideas would be cool too. These are just some of the vehicles that come to mind. Let me know guys thanks.

  7. my mistake 2 door... lol. Well the build on the l20 is as follows. Standard l20 built head different pistons lower my comp ratio a bit. Its a cartech turbo manifold and im running a rajay turbo on it right now. Crane cam 272 dur intake and 282 exh .460 lift for both. I have a modded distributer w/vacuum adyance cut at 3k rpm. Its got a modded progressive weber on it right now. With the manual boost controller im set at 14lbs. Its about as much as a can run without detonation on pump gas unless I think of a few changes to prevent it from blowing up lol. So far its been extremely reliable. If I end up keeping this car though Im prob gonna ditch the l20. Its got 30k on it and still very very tight and quick. About 195hp id just prefer a broader power band. Im thinking of building a vg if i keep it. I like the idea of efi and and v6 power. Plus im soooooooooo tired of messing with weber . Let me know if you have more wuestions Ill take some pics and pull up some more specs. and pleaser people trade me something. I want a 4x4 for winter.

  9. Looking for a muffler or can with a deep sound. I ran a flowmaster it was loud and thats fine it was just a little too raspy at high rpms. I was going to add a resonator but I ended up selling the car. I have a 69 with a turbo l20. Any suggestions on mufflers. What have you ran. I liked the noise and sound of the flowmaster not sure how a resonator would affect it. Im ok with loud exhaust its not daily driven and I like to hear my motor but im also not gonna straight pipe it. You get the idea let me know what you guys run and how well the sound at high/low rpm and durability. Thanks
  10. 69 datsun 2 door coupe. Has an l20 with a rare cartech turbo kit on it. Motor has 30k on it and doesnt burn or leak a drop of oil. balanced and blueprinted, ported head, built well with recpts for proof. Lightened flywheel and new clutch. Msd ignition and coil. Brand new exhaust all the way back. Sounds good not loudnot extreme. Has slotted rear cross member. Lowered an inch and a half with springs has new struts as well. Has lsd from a 02 wrx. trans is a dogleg 5 spd from a 200sx. Car runs and drive excellent no probs. New paint in 96 have recpts. Polished z wheels. Interior is nice mostly new rear seat has wear on top. Im looking to trade for a truck or suv with lower miles. An old vehicle is ok just needs to be reliable. No other trades considered and no cash so please dont ask. email me for any more q's or with offers. Im located in portland oregon and I will not drive it to you so dont ask.   12. I have considered it yes. It would be just so much easier and cheaper to fab up an intake instead and throw in an electric fan. Where do you suppose I pull the air from then I guess is my biggest question I have. If not behind the radiator then where. Id rather not go through headlights and dont wanna go to low so I hit a puddle and suck water in
