I've got a '71 Goon that the previous owner lost the gas cap to. I've tried all the different ones off eBay, and all the ones listed to fit my car from the parts stores, I even tried the early Cuda cap, but none were a direct fit... Finally I found a guy at the local NAPA that took the time to go back into the stock room and find a cap off the shelf that matched... As close as possible anyways. He found me the style that is NON-locking. It is for the '77-90 Jeep Cherokee, and the 90-93 VW. When I do a search, I see there is also a locking gas cap for those years as well.

Today I worked on getting the goon to stop proper, so grab my tools and set off and had me some goon time, after two trips to the Zone (AutoZone) buying break cleaner then a Flair wrench and to order me a new set of shoes with my bro on the phone with me, hope you get that 240Z started!!! ....... I got done with taking off the wheels cylinders, the driver side line was a beep to take off and ending up braking it and the other side. So I'm guessing those lines haven't been off since 71. The WCs saids made in japan. I guess they were OEM???? Here's some pics on the job. That side was leaking bad. Same side, broke clean off I was like wt*. Other side. This side looked fine is wasn't wet of brake fluid like the left side , but the WS was frozen and the drum was a lil painful to take off.

Yes I'm going to install the L16 with trans in the goon.

I heard I have to use a 280zx trans mount. Does that sound right?

I recently picked up a L16 with a 5 spd dogleg, and I was wondering will it mount right up to my 71 510 goon, or would I need additional parts and work done to the driveshaft? Thx Carlo.

Today got my built L16 with SUs and header and dog leg can't what to put it on :) I want to give a special shout out to klassicmotion for all you have done for me if it wasn't for you I'll wouldn't have this thx bro much love.

Today picked up my stud sets form Napa for the manifold and new down pipe I also got to today. More pics tomorrow. Project goon overhaul is on it's way :)
